George has started to call me "Maimee" (I think he is trying to say Amy) instead of "Mama" which is what he used to call me. I don't like it and keep telling him to say "Mama" but he isn't going for it. If nurture has anything to do with it I am going to make sure this is just a phase.

Your title scared me thinking you'd found the "Mamee" of the baby mice from your previous post.
Maybe Charlie will start calling you Mamma in a few months and George will pick up on it.
If I had your boys it wouldn't matter what they called me. They're just darn stinkin' CUTE!
I would definitely nip this one in the bud!! I started calling my parents by their first name, and they thought it was so cute they never corrected me. That is why we all called my parents, Joe and Dora. We didn't gave it a second thought, but everyone else did. When I first read your blog, I thought he called you Mamee like Mamee from "Gone With the Wind" That would never fit. Korey and Alisha's Mathew called both Korey and Alisha Mama for a long time.
I think that's way cute! Madison knows both mine and Colton's name, but rarely calls us by our first names. I like that she knows our names, just in case she got lost in a store. I think it's just a phase for George though. I bet that if just consistently tell him, "No, I'm mama" that he'll go back to calling you mama. But if you laugh or get upset when he says it, he probably likes the reaction, just a thought!
I love that Judy thought of Mamee from Gone with the Wind, because that's what I first thought, too. Yeah, she's right, that would never fit! LOL
