George and Charlie have been working hard on sharing over the past couple of months. Well really, George has been working hard on sharing with Charlie. We have established some hard and fast rules. First, don't take. Second, take turns. We also have a "work-around" rule that helps if Charlie has something you really want and you just don't think you can wait your turn. It is called the trade. This consists of George finding something to give Charlie so that he can then take the something that Charlie has that he really wants. All in all things have been going well and I would dare speculate that George is at 70% for obeying the afore mentioned rules.
However, I am unsure how to classify the following incident. The weekend before Christmas we traveled to Idaho to see my brother Trevor who just returned from Iraq and his fiance Laura. They came from Texas for Christmas (this doesn't have anything to do with the story except for the fact that we were in Idaho when it happened, never-the-less, I must say that one of the highlights of my Christmas season was seeing Trevor and knowing that he has safely returned from his second tour in Iraq). Anyway, we were at my dad's house and all the kids were playing and eating tootsie pops. Except for Charlie who was sitting in a high chair enjoying his first ever tootsie pop. At one point I saw George race out of the room and then looked over to see Charlie holding a dog bone and no tootsie pop. Legally, this was a "trade" but clearly not apples for apples.

You probably never stipulated, "Dog bones are not an acceptable trade." They always find a way around the rules, don't they? Too funny.
That is hillarious!! He really is Paul's kid isn't he.
I think he is getting the concept...ha ha!
That is the funniest thing ever! George is hillarious! Was Charlie licking the dog bone?
I don't know, sounds like a good trade to me. :)
I think George should get an E for effort or at least a C for creativity.
At least he traded, that is a start!
That is so funny! What a clever kid!
Well, his mom is very clever so I would expect nothing less from George.
I wouldn't expect anything less from George. His creativity is top notch.
Charlie wasn't licking the dog bone. He was looking at it was a studied expression on his face.
I love that story!
Oh my gosh! I LOVE it!
