Potty Talk

I must admit that I am pleasantly surprised by how easy #20 turned out to be. However, as with all things George, there are still a couple of things that puzzle me. For example, when I am home George nearly always comes to find me and asks me to help him go potty. I usually tell him "go get started and I'll be there in a minute" and he always replies "you get started now too." If I am not easy to find George will go out on the deck, pull down his pants, pee off the deck, pull his pants back up, and come back inside all by himself. So first of all, how did it occur to him that he could or would want to pee off of the deck? Second, why is it possible to pee off of the deck by himself but not in the toilet by himself? He always claims that he needs me to help him get his pants up and down, but having spied his peeing off the deck shenanigans I know this isn't the case. Other places George likes to pee include on the tire of the car, in the grass, off the porch, and the other day I caught him trying to pee on the "circle" (a covered man hole) in the road in front of our house. The poo part took George longer to get the hang of and there are many interesting, funny, disgusting (depending on who you ask) stories that accompany that portion of our potty training adventures but I'll save our poo stories for the next installment of potty talk. Consider yourself warned.

Bennett tricked us for a night and made us think he was going to do it....luckily with the wierd timing of it all, he is not quite ready. Congratulations on getting it done, love only one in diapers!

Thank you for keeping your fingers crossed about Tuesday....could you also cross your toes? I think I may go into a fit of hysterics if they tell me to wait another day!

Either Paul is secretly teaching George these charming tricks or boys really have some gene that gives them the desire/skill to do this. (I've only met Paul twice and I don't know much about his hobbies, so I'm hoping it's the gene thing.)Boys are so different than girls. Owen is just one and he's done things that my girls never tried. I'm not sure that I look forward to the days when he "waters" my flowerbeds without me asking or knowing.

He just likes you to help him. Easton pulls those tricks on me all the time. It is a little frustrating sometimes. I guess I should soak it in because there is going to be a day when he wont want me to help at all.

Apparently George and Scarlet are involved in a conspiracy because she has lately been needing help in the bathroom. I hope he doesn't teach her to pee outside.

Oh please tell the poo stories. They are so so funny. I love the poo stories! hahaha! And that had to be one of my all-time favorite George moments when he told me that he HAD to go pee outside and just let a stream go off the deck. I really think there is nothing you can do about all of that. You will be smothering his creativeness and originality Amy!!

So hilarious! He just wants to see if he can get you to do what he tells you to do. What a boy, peeing wherever he pleases.

So what are you going to do if you have a girl? If you do have a girl she will be quite the tom boy growing up with your boys. They are going to teach her all sorts of fun stuff. :)

I am convinced that boys/men inately just know what to do with their "man" parts. Congrats on the potty training. I have about 1 more year before Jackson will be ready probably. Hey, I am ready for more Potty Talk. I always have stories too.
