Today we dusted off the ghetto gear and headed out for our second bike/trailer ride.
Lessons learned...
1. It is a good idea to check the air in your tires before you head out. I am no mathematician but I am pretty sure that pulling 70 pounds of kid in a 30 pound trailer with flat tires equals way more than 100 pounds.
2. It is a good idea to own a tire pump.
Quotes of the day...
George (using a sad and defeated voice): "Mom, that car just passed us. I guess cars are faster than us."
and a little latter on...
George: "Mom, why are you off the bike and pushing it?"

and that is why i don't take the boys for bike rides
That is awesome. Good job on attempting it again. I told my kids the only time they get to go on a bike ride in the carrier thing is when there dad takes them. So I say you rock.
Funny. If I would have seen you on the side of the road I would have stopped and offered a ride or thrown out one of the 10 ball pumps we have in our car (they work the same, right?)
It's funny now, but I'm sure with sweat pouring down every inch of your body and the little snails laughing as they speed past you, it's pretty miserable. Don't give up on it, my friend. You're bound to have a good experience sometime.
Keep up the good work. :)
Don't give up! I'm sure it will get better/easier!
