Ecuador - Teleferico

The teleferico is a gondola that takes you up 3,500 feet. Quito is at 9,500 feet so riding the teleferico to the top puts you at 13,000 feet. Pretty cool. We didn't have a lot of time (it was the last thing we did before heading to the airport) and it was dark and really cold and wet but worth it.

The view from the inside of the gondola.
The view from the top of the world.
This sign says, "Caution: You've gone up 4,100 meters. Go slow. Don't run."
More Quito views...
This sign says, "High risk zone. Don't pass."

I love all the pictures! It makes me want to get back to South America. It really is a completely different and special world.

It's wonderful that you could share it all with your mom, too.

I love th signs, hilarious! All of your pictures are amazing. I loved all the pics of the homes, tons of them, so close together. And the scary bridge in the church, totally Indian Jones-ish!
