Last night while rushing out the door to baseball...

Me: Charlie, get your crap and get in the car.
Charlie: Mom, you know you say crap a lot.
Me: I know and I shouldn't. I really need to work on that.
Charlie: Yes you do because people who say crap too much...they can turn into jerks.

While watching a preview of the new Christina Aguilera video during The Voice last night...

Charlie: Mom, look at her hair. (She was wearing pink extensions.)
Me: It is kind of cool.
Charlie: Do you know that if you want your hair to be fancy you can wear those?
Me: I didn't know that.
Charlie: Do you think your hair is very fancy?
Me: No, I usually don't do my hair very fancy.
Charlie: Do you want your hair to be fancy?
Me: Maybe sometimes. Do you think I would look good with pink in my hair?
Charlie: Yes. You would and you would look fancy.

He then proceeded to tell me about a couple of cute girls in his class last year who wore colored extensions and how pretty they looked. I love it when he talks to me about things like this because he is very sensitive to my feelings and won't ever come right out and say I should do something with my looks but goes about it in a very round about way. Once we were watching an infomercial on some sort of tummy tuck thing and he very gently asked me if I would ever like to do something like that. When I asked him if he thought I needed to do it he said, "well, what do you think?" Funny boy!
