Happy Birthday Travis!

Elder Travis Hall will be turning 21 on May 3rd, but will be checking his email and my blog tomorrow (his p-day) so he is getting his birthday entry a couple of days early.

1. He is currently serving an LDS mission in Dominican Republic.
2. He doesn't walk, he bounces, kind of like Tigger.
3. He is very inquisitive and likes to see how things work.
4. He lived in Driggs for a couple of summers to "move pipe."
5. He loved our late dog Loki. In fact, when he lived in Driggs he would set up a camcorder on a tripod and leave the tape rolling when he went off to work because he was curious about what Loki did while he was gone. The funniest part is that he would actually come home and watch the tape. That is one of my top ten favorite Travis stories.
6. Pre-mission he would only eat pizza, cold cereal, ice cream, and otter pops. In August we will see how two years on mission has changed him.
7. He is very adventurous and loves to hike, snowmobile, mountain and motorbike.
8. He loves Driggs.
9. He had major separation anxiety from my mom when he was a baby and was pretty much a homebody until high school when he literally and figuratively "bloomed" (he had an awesome Afro).
10. He loved the movie American Tale when he was little and we always said he had Fievel ears because his stuck out like those of the mouse that stars in the show.
11. He has a huge heart.
12. He is a doer.
13. He worked at an orphanage in Ecuador before his mission and learned how to change cloth diapers.
14. He knows how to work and play hard.
15. He is really good at pretending to fall.
16. He wrote a song called "Don't Tell Me What To Do," it is a family hit.
17. He lived with Lara in Germany before his mission and traveled all over Europe.
18. He is an awesome uncle.
19. He loves to read and has a huge collection of books (mostly about the gospel).
20. He made a jump so that he could ride his bike off of the dock at Hebgan Lake (Lara has the video somewhere and should post it).
21. He writes awesome emails to his family each week about his experiences in the mission field. He has had a lot of amazing spiritual experiences balanced by his fair share of crazy experiences.

I love you Travis and can't wait until August. Hebgan Lake is going to seriously rock this year!

Here are some more photos of Travis with more of a nostalgic flair.

Me and Travis. I mentioned the Fievel ears in the above list but forgot to mention that he also has quite the repertoire of ear tricks.

Mom and Travis. Man the 80's were awesome! Yes my mom is wearing stirrup pants.

I think that this was taken right after my dad shaved Travis' head. Travis had beautiful curls and my dad just couldn't take it any more so he shaved Travis' head with the razor that he normally used for his face.

Did I mention how awesome the 80's were? Vogue it Lara!

Travis and Trevor at an air show.

Travis in his walker.

I like this shot because the look on his face is classic Travis. He is just trying to figure out what is going on, also, you can really see how his ears stuck out.

haha whatever, according to travis, he is still cute. I was talking to him through email the other day and it was about how we look so much alike, so he said, "Darc, its okay, we're hott. We look good."

I should have also mentioned in my list that Travis still goes by his childhood nickname...Travie! I guess he should just be greatful that his nickname isn't Fartci.

Trevor you are way cute. My favorite pic of you is the one I posted last month. You are three months old in the pic and look a lot like my Charlie.
