George really wanted to wear his snow boots this morning so I let him joyfully tromp around the house for a while.
My friend Annie came over for lunch with her four boys (George was in heaven) and Oakland and George had a grand time playing in Charlie's crib. I am not sure what the draw was (they were in there for about 40 minutes) but it was funny to come upstairs and see this.
And Now Presenting George:
...In his first ever summer buzz cut (it is a Hall family tradition that the boys have their heads shaved to kick off the start of summer). I have learned that I can get George to do just about anything if I let him use his portable DVD player, so instead of taking him to Cookie Cutters I strapped him in his booster seat and gave him his summer buzz in the kitchen. He pretty much hated it but we got through it none the less. It isn't perfect and I may end up taking him to Cookie Cutters in the morning if my mistakes are still bugging me. I can't bear to be the "bad guy" again (I'd rather pay someone else to be the meanie).
What says SUMMER more than a bare chested, buzz cut boy blowing bubbles? George loves bubbles so we went outside and he got is very own, brand new, bottle of bubbles. He was very excited and it lasted a record breaking 20 minutes before he dumped the whole thing down the front steps.
Now isn't that adorable?

Adorable. Oh I miss you guys.... What a big day. I totally understand the snow boots thing. Boots aren't really seasonal. The haircut is so cute and he totally looks like a grown up now.
George's haircut was such a shock when I viewed these pictures after seeing him yesterday! He does look like he is ready for summer. He is always smiling.
I love all of those pictures. It doesn't matter what kind of haircut that boy has...he's such a looker!
He looks a lot older! What kind of DVD player is that, I have never seen on like that?
George's DVD player is a Coby handheld. Paul won it at something and we never thought we would use it but it is George's favorite thing ever.
Oh my gosh. All that in one day? Is every day like that? He looks like a little boy (as opposed to a toddler) with his new haircut. Adorable!
He is so handsome! I love the buzz cut. Don't you just love it when your kids want to wear something weird like boots in the winter? It's hilarious what they decide they want to wear.
I meant boots in the summer!
I'm so glad you got to spend time with Annie, it's been forever for me. -Love George's hair, he was so funny at church today.
He is such a cutie!! Man I can't wait to see him again. He looks like is way more grown up. And from everything you say he sounds like it too. I can't wait to see you guys, even though I don't know when that will be.
Thanks for the support Amy, that means a lot! With our trip to California on Saturday, I want to be able to enjoy it! I can't wait to see you guys in the Fall!
Holy cow Georgie looks so stinkin' cute. I love love love the haircut. Seriously that kid is so handsome. I can't wait to see him tomorrow! Wow I can't believe he is almost 2.
