summer buzz

Today the boys got their summer buzz cuts and this year Charlie got in on the action. I decided to take them to Cookie Cutters this year instead of saving a few bucks and doing it in my kitchen, besides they love that place. We went to the park after their hair cuts and I got a few pics.

I am not sure what George is doing but that is the best I could do with him. He was really busy.

I think Charlie looks a little more like George with his hair buzzed. George really doesn't look that much different with a buzz than he does with his normal hair cut because I only go a little bit shorter than his normal cut for the buzz. He has really curly hair (like mine) and when it grows out it turns into an afro which is cool but not so much on a two year old. I am sure he will either love or hate all of the tricks that his hair can do when he is older (maybe it is a good thing he developed an early love for hats).

Isn't he just the cutest thing ever? This pic says SUMMER to me. Cute boy, messy face, and a smoothie.

George's big day...

George is becoming more and more of a character with each passing day. I was looking through my pictures tonight because I wanted to post a picture of George's new haircut and was reminded of how many funny things he did today. Here are some of the things that I documented.

George really wanted to wear his snow boots this morning so I let him joyfully tromp around the house for a while.

My friend Annie came over for lunch with her four boys (George was in heaven) and Oakland and George had a grand time playing in Charlie's crib. I am not sure what the draw was (they were in there for about 40 minutes) but it was funny to come upstairs and see this.

And Now Presenting George:

...In his first ever summer buzz cut (it is a Hall family tradition that the boys have their heads shaved to kick off the start of summer). I have learned that I can get George to do just about anything if I let him use his portable DVD player, so instead of taking him to Cookie Cutters I strapped him in his booster seat and gave him his summer buzz in the kitchen. He pretty much hated it but we got through it none the less. It isn't perfect and I may end up taking him to Cookie Cutters in the morning if my mistakes are still bugging me. I can't bear to be the "bad guy" again (I'd rather pay someone else to be the meanie).

What says SUMMER more than a bare chested, buzz cut boy blowing bubbles? George loves bubbles so we went outside and he got is very own, brand new, bottle of bubbles. He was very excited and it lasted a record breaking 20 minutes before he dumped the whole thing down the front steps.

Now isn't that adorable?
