We had so much fun over the 4th of July and have started a new tradition of spending it in Idaho Falls. The 4th in IF is kid friendly, easy, and fun (they had me at kid friendly). We started off the day with the parade where some friends of my parents saved us a spot so we didn't have to be there at the crack of dawn, in fact we arrived just moments before the parade began to pass by their house and still had front row seats. After the parade we went to their house for a BBQ and then to my parents house for a nice afternoon nap. Then we headed out to dinner and the fireworks. Melaleuca puts on a great show every year and touts their show as the biggest fireworks west of the Mississippi. It really was amazing and we had an awesome patch of grass right on the river to watch the show from.
I am really thankful for all of the men and women who are serving abroad and are required to be away from those they love. On the 4th I felt a huge debt of gratitude to all military past and present but especially to Trevor. He is an amazing person and I really do admire him not only for what he does but for who he is. I felt that many of the floats in the parade did a nice job of honoring men and women in uniform and it was a nice reminder of the sacrifice that takes place each day.

Good old Idaho Falls! Looks like you guys had a great time. It's true, with your hair straight like that, I kept thinking you were Lara. You two are so pretty. PS. Happy 2nd Birthday George! I'm looking forward to hearing all about it!
I loved our fourth. I am so glad that you guys joined us this year. It really is the perfect way to celebrate and kid friendly to boot. I guess it goes without saying that you won't find me any where near something that is too much work for a little fun. I really need to upgrade my onetruemedia.com account because your slide shows rocks. Oh and I even thought a few of those pics were me maybe it is because you are wearing my clothes!
I love the 4th of July! Everything about the celebrations warm my heart. When I run into any person in a military uniform, I thank them, and I usually have to hold back the tears of gratitude I am feeling inside. Your pictures are fun to see.
Oh man I love the 4th. Its my favorite holiday and there is no better way to spend it than in Idaho Falls. Seriously, I never want to spend the 4th anywhere else!
Trevor is my hero and there is no one more brave or courageous than him and there is definitely no one as strong as him! I love you Trev! Thanks for all you do for us!
I'm so jealous of your firework show! I didn't get one this year. :(
Your kids just keep getting cuter and cuter.
I am jealous it looks like you had so much fun. Hopefully next year we can join you.
I am glad you had a fun 4th! Kid friendly is always good isn't it.
I think I've seen your hair straight once, it looks cute! Do you do it often now? I really didn't recognize you. I kept wondering why you put momma when it wasn't you. Looks like you guys had a ball!
You look like you all had so much fun! The kids are so cute and the fireworks did look pretty amazing. Bytheway, I love your straight hair.
I loved this post because George was so typical with his DVD and wanting to go home. But at the end of the day you could tell it was an awesome time and I'm glad you had such a Happy 4th.
