I have been looking through a ton of old pics and I am beginning to realize that claw bangs weren't as much of an Idaho thing as they were an Amy thing. Apparently I felt that claw bangs we so much a part of my identity that I wore them skiing and as you can see from this photo I am the only one with perfectly sculpted claw bangs. This picture was taken at Grand Targhee probably in 1994. From left to right: Tyra (sister), Lara (sister), Trevor (brother), Kara (could have been a sister), and me.

Awesome claw bangs! You were so stylin' to make sure that you had good hair even when you were skiing.
Funny. I am pretty sure that was Dec 1993. I was in 8th grade and we are at Park City. That was the funnest trip. Ty, remember how we were sing, "hey Bus Boy your so fine, you blow mind, hey Bus boy!" Amy I think you look super hot in claw bangs. You should bring them back. I am pretty sure that Darci had bangs too! That is were she learned to ski.
Trust me it was not just an "Amy" thing. Almost all my sisters had them in the 90's. I just don't think they'd appreciate me posting their pictures.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was an "anyone who was cool" thing...
I think your outfits are almost as good as your bangs. Gotta love those coats!
Amy, not only were you the only one of us with claw bangs on the ski hill, you were also the only on a daily basis. I am proud to say that I didn't have claw bangs, anymore anyway. I had moved past that to the body suits and jeans about 20 sizes to big for me. Remember the ones Kara and I bought at the outlets. They seriously would have fit a 350lb man.
La, I totally remember the bus boys!! Remember we would drop things on purpose and they would rush over to pick them up. It was such a fun game. And that is the trip we finally met the "nice boys" we had heard so much about. Was it you, me, or Kara that came out and yelled to Mom in a mocking voice "Are the nice boys here!!" and they were and they heard you/me/or Kara?
Oh and don't forget me getting mad and walking to the gas station (home was a little to far this time), of course that had to happend at least once on every trip.
Okay, so now your claw bangs don't look so bad. :)
I am not sure if I ever had "offical" claw bangs, but I am glad I don't now...we have our blog up and running finally...www.clevclan8.blogspot.com
I was the one who said "Are the nice boys here". That was the first time we met those nice Phelps boys. Hahah. I am smiling as I write this because that trip was crazy. Funny.
Oh, those bus boys. They were quick on their feet. :)
Amy, I love to read your blogs. You just make me laugh. The name claw bangs really fits the hairdo.
