Charlie's New Do

This morning we headed to Cookie Cutters for Charlie's second haircut. Paul feels very strongly about slicked, parted down the side haircuts on little boys and I have been happily on board until I recently (last night) came to terms with the fact that because of the number of calics in Charlie's hair it will always rebel (regardless of the amount of gel I use) and end up creating really bad baby Kramer hair.

Charlie had a natural fohawk when he was born so I decided that maybe a fohawk is Charlie's version of a "classic hairstyle."

So today Charlie broke the slicked, parted on the side mold that George has so handsomely modeled for two and half years and went with his own trendy little fohawk.

Charlie really does like getting his haircut and all went well until the very end when the stylist was trimming around his ears (with no guard on the clippers) and Charlie decided he just couldn't wear that cape for another second. He yanked it off and as a result he has a little patch of hair missing on the back of his head. I guess it add character.

p.s. Charlie's favorite game right now is "uh-oh" (drop something, watch it fall, and say uh-oh). Today when the first chunk of his hair fell to the ground Charlie looked down and said "uh-oh" clearer than he ever has before.
