I love Easter and all of the traditions both secular and religious that surround this holiday. We had a great day today and though I am totally exhausted and really have no business being up this late, I wanted to post the following excerpt from one of my favorite works by William Wordsworth.
“Ode: Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood”
Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting:
The Soul that rises with us, our life’s Star,
Hath had elsewhere its setting,
And cometh from afar:
Not in entire forgetfulness,
And not in utter nakedness,
But trailing clouds of glory do we come
From God, who is our home:
Heaven lies about us in our infancy!

I love that poem. It is beautiful. I love the good news of Easter.
I like the poem and I"m jealous that you went somewhere warm.
My fave poem...Perfect for Easter!!
I love Wordsworth. Even though I try really hard to hate poetry, he is pretty good.
