Christmas Day 2008

We had a great Christmas season (maybe I'll even post about it some day). I got my shopping done early and never got stressed about checking things off a list (except for a small moment during the making and distributing of those damn neighbor gifts...I think next year we will just make a donation on behalf of our neighborhood and go caroling instead).

Christmas morning was perfect. George got the Santa thing this year and went on a present opening rampage. Charlie wanted to explore each item before moving onto the next.

George's camera...We had a hard time taking pictures Christmas morning because George wanted to take all the pictures with his camera.
Both boys received a helmet from Santa with a microphone that magnifies your voice. Charlie walked around for ten minutes chanting, "I Lolly Boy." George used his to sing with Charlie's guitar.
This captures George's excitement perfectly. It wouldn't have mattered if he had opened up a pair of socks this is how he reacted to each gift. He would then throw it into his pile and find another present to open.
Don't you love the gap between Charlie's two front teeth? It is my favorite thing ever. These boys love each other and though they most definitely have their moments they can really get each other laughing.

Kids totally make Christmas so much more fun. Bob and I woke up before our kids and were sitting around waiting for them. Once they were up, it was a blast.

I love the helmet-mics. I think I might lose my mind with them though.
