Show Week

George absolutely adores his Little Gym class and Show Week (their version of a recital) didn't disappoint. All of the kids were able to show off their new skills and because there is nothing George loves more than an attentive audience he had a hard time containing his excitement.

I can't remember if this was before or after George ran up to me and said (very loudly I might add), "Mom, I got a big boogie." He had an enormous booger on his finger and I was surrounded by parents I didn't know and who I am sure were glad they didn't know me. No, maybe it was right after he ran up to me during another child's performance and yelled, "Mom, did you hear that? I did a tutti fruitie." While the other parents looked on and because I didn't know what else to do I just put my hands over my face and shook my head in disbelief.

George doing a leg lift on the balance beam.

His teacher is laughing because he is supposed to be walking forward but when she told him to turn he said, "No, because I will fall."

George's donkey kick,

table top,

and bar routine.

And of course the most important part of his show was when he received his "pretty medal and awesome paper" (certificate of completion).

I love him! I was laughing at the booger and tutti fruitie comments. If I were one of the parents sitting by you...I totally would not have judged you. :)

I would never dream of judging another parent. Seriously, I hope that a few will give me and my crew the benefit of the doubt here and there. I love the pictures of George. He is a really rockin' dude and love that last pose with his arms in the air.

He is such a character! I love that he has no volume control.

If I was one of those parents I would have totally started laughing. He is the funniest kid ever!! I love how he has so much excitment for such small things. You can't help but he be happy around him.

You ARE raising your brothers!! Hopefully George will grow out of talking loudly about his boogers and tutti fruiti -- unlike your brothers :) :)
