Top of the world

While we were in Idaho we spent most of our time hanging out at my dad's cabin in Driggs (I love that place). We also took a trip to the top of the world (more commonly known as Grand Targhee) actually, we made the trek twice. The first time we were disappointed to learn that this summer they are only running their chair lift over the weekend so we played on a huge pile of snow instead.

Scarlet, Daphne, George, and Zane. The kids were so busy playing I didn't get many shots of their faces (this is true of the entire trip).

Digging in the snow with sticks. Sticks are cool. They keep kids entertained for hours.

On our second trip to Grand Targhee we rode the chairlift to the top of the world. Charlie likes to lean against the safety bar and peer at the ground as he rides. I am not too fond of this practice of his but I do love this picture of him at the top. He looks like a grown up little boy when he doesn't have a pacifier attached to his mouth.

I have lots of pictures (we have been doing this for three years) of the kids at this spot, doing this exact same thing. It is pretty much the same routine every year but I love it and so do the kids. I should put together a through the years post.

Looks like fun. I wish one of the many times we were there we would of gone to the top of the world because even fourteen year old boys still love sticks.

I am definitely taking my kids there next time we visit. I forgot all about doing that in the summer. I think I will just hire you and La as my tour guides to plan our trip. Wish we could come this summer!

Why does Charlie look so grown-up? No! He needs to stay my little Lollie-Boy forever!! So fun. Wish I could have been there with you guys!

It's fun that you have pictures of the kids doing the same thing in the same place year after year. Some things are always fun: throwing rocks, playing with sticks, playing in the snow.
