Today while explaining the schedule for this weekend to George and Charlie the following conversation took place...
Me: In two days Nana is going to come pick you and Charlie up and take you to her house for a special sleep over.
George: Just us? Why aren't you coming?
Me: Because I have some meetings that I need to go to. (This weekend is my semi-annual mom's retreat!)
George: Why do you have to go to meetings?
Me: They are special mom meetings so I can learn to be a better mom.
George: Why do you need to learn to be a better mom?
Me: Because I want to be the best mom there ever was!
George: Better than Lara?

I think it was all those sunflowers she had going on in her room in high school.
You remember those? Sunflowers kinda make want to puke now. Ya know? But I love George for thinking I am a good mom. Thanks Georgie for being silly.
