Proud Mama

George was up with the stomach flu or food poisoning of some sort last night. He threw up multiple times and was in a lot of pain which is no fun but here is the part that has me so excited: All the bile landed in the toilet. I honestly couldn't believe it. George woke up around 11pm and I could hear him puking but couldn't get to him for a few minutes and when I did I couldn't find him because it didn't occur to me that he would actually be throwing up in the toilet. I was so proud of him for taking care of himself and honestly surprised that he continued to do this through the night. Does this mean that he is growing up?

This is George with his buddy Parker. These two played outside for hours while we were up in Driggs over New Year's.

That is a darling picture of George and Parker. What cute little dudes. And yeah, total sign of growing up. I wish my kids had that good of aim with their pukes. Especially since all my kids get lots of practice. Seriously, does anyone's kids throw up as much as mine?

Way to go George!! What a great kid!
When Parker was at my house all he could talk about was his new friends and playing with George! Cute picture!

How nice for you that he made it all in the toilet but still it sucks that he was sick, poor guy! I loved the story about George wanting to build a ship. He sounds very inventive and creative and I'm sure he will build some great things as he grows. Charlie is way cute too!

I remember the last time I threw up some where besides the toilet. I was in elementary school and was super sick. I threw up in the entry way on the wood floor. Mom didn't believe I was sick she thought I just wanted to stay home from school. So once I threw up I was expecting sympathy. She just told me I was to old to throw up on the floor and to clean it up and go down to bed. I remember begin so sick and miserable and having to clean it up. I never did throw up any where but the toilet again.

My kids have all had the flu and were throwing up this week as well. I have two who use the toilet, two kids who have graduated to a bowl, and my youngest, well lets just say we used the bissell a LOT!! Good for George!

Yea for puke in the toilet! That is so awesome that he has that kind of control and actually got to the toilet in time, amazing! He is for sure growing up to be able to puke in the toilet instead of all over his bed! Yuck!
