Ecuador - Panecillo

The Panecillo is a huge statue of the virgin Mary that can be seen from much of Quito. The views from the top of the Panecillo are really amazing.

I love these panoramic shots that my mom took.
I love the blue and turquoise homes that are scattered throughout all of the residential areas.
This is the actual Panecillo (virgin Mary).
We were there during Semana Santa (Holy Week) and were able to listen to a little service that took place inside of the small chapel that is on the first floor of the Panecillo.
The Basilica via the Panecillo.
Me and my mom. I love my mom and am so grateful we were able to share such an amazing experience.

Beautiful! The colorful buildings remind me of when Jesse and I visited San Juan when we were first married.
