probably my all time favorite photobooth picture

photobooth friday

It has been a while since I have found myself sitting in a photobooth but while running through the mall in Idaho Falls with Trevor who was/is home from Iraq on a two week leave I spotted a photobooth and insisted on a detour.

photobooth friday

July 2008. I had Lara's kids the day that Brauer was born. We took this while we were at the mall waiting for Lara to dilate enough to warrant bringing the kids to the hospital. Zane was in the bathroom while the girls hung out in the photobooth. It turns out that Zane takes a really long time to go number two and Lara ended up delivering Brauer while we were waiting for Zane to finish up.

Whitney is our amazing nanny who goes above and beyond her "job responsibilities" on a regular basis. We love her! She took this picture with the boys about a month ago at our local photobooth.

photobooth friday

For the love of photobooths...Mom, Tyra, and my boys. This was taken at the Grand Teton Mall in Idaho Falls the week of Darci and Jeff's wedding.

My mom and my sister Tyra look so much alike that it is weird to even the rest of my immediate family. You really have to be on your toes when they are together because they not only look alike but talk and walk similar and have many of the same mannerisms.

photobooth friday

Darci nannied the boys on Tuesday and because it was freezing she took them on an outing to the mall and of course a stop in the photobooth.

photobooth friday

Whitney took the boys to the mall today and they took this beauty (frames one and four are my favorites) at our usual spot. I am thinking that we need to find a new "usual spot" because this photobooth looks like it is on its' last last leg.

photobooth friday

Whitney (George and Charlie's nanny) took the boys to the mall today for a carousel ride, lunch and a photobooth shoot.

photobooth friday

This was taken a week ago at our usual spot. George was so excited to get the picture taken and then really proud of how it turned out (he has the strip hanging in his room). He actually ran away from me while we were getting lunch and I couldn't find him for a minute and a half during which I stayed surprisingly calm as I abandoned our food, grabbed Charlie, and searched the food court for him. I found him sitting in the photo booth waiting to have his picture taken.

I too love how this strip turned out. In fact, I think it is my favorite strip to date. It was fun to see George so excited and proud of himself and he does look really cute. Funny note about George: He has to wear a hat whenever he leaves the house. In fact, he literally panics if he has to go outside and doesn't have a hat on. The bucket hat he has on in the bottom two shots is his newest attachment.

photobooth friday

This strip was taken yesterday at Fat Cats.

We weren't quite ready for the first shot.

Charlie got in on the action when Paul hung him over the booth.

This is my favorite. I mean just look at those faces.

Daphne stood up at the last minute and the camara captured this pic of her sweet face. I love Scarlet looking up at Charlie in the background.

photobooth friday

We took this on Monday at Chuck E. Cheese. It is technically a photo sketch, the machine doesn't give you a whole strip of pictures but rather a single shot. It was really hard to use and probably half broken as most everything at that place is "out of service." I had to awkwardly hold the boys up to get the picture taken and as you can see they weren't comfortable.

photobooth friday

I love Valentine's Day because Paul always gets me an awesome arrangement of flowers along with a thoughtful but mostly funny card and of course the traditional chocolates. This year we got George a little stuffed monster and some chocolates and Charlie got a box full of bouncy balls. Yesterday afternoon I asked George what Valentine's Day is about and he joyfully proclaimed "chocolate." Seriously, I have never seen a kid love chocolate more than him. I think he likes it more than I do which is saying a lot.

Mostly I love V-day because it reminds me to be thankful for the three cute boys I have in my life. This photobooth picture was taken at our usual spot in the mall in October 2007.

photobooth friday

This little gem was taken yesterday at the mall. It doesn't show up in the picture but Charlie had his hand resting on George's leg. They are cute brothers.

photobooth friday

Yesterday at the Aquarium. George's first solo photobooth shoot.

This is my favorite frame.

George got to pick which fish he wanted at the top of the strip and chose a "big, big, shark."

Today. South Towne Mall. Me, Dad, Darci, Travis, and Lara. Good times.

photobooth friday

September 2006. This is the first and only (to date anyway) photobooth strip that Lara and I have taken with all the kids.

Since this was taken I have added Charlie to the mix and also become a much more experienced photoboother so I think it is time to give it another try. In this strip I didn't make it into a single shot and as you will see George some how made it into every single shot as he tried to reach the controls. Zane didn't really know what was going on and in the last frame you can see that he wasn't having the time of his life.

photobooth friday

October 2007. This was taken a couple of weeks ago. I can't remember why we were at the mall (that is where the photobooth we usually use is) but I think it had something to do with trying to find George some shoes he could wear with his special insoles that we have since discovered he totally hates and won't even consider wearing even with his Crocs (his favorite shoes ever...he likes to wear them to bed).

photobooth friday

June (maybe July) 2007. Charlie's first solo shoot with mama.

We did a naked weight on Charlie earlier this week and he weighed in at 22.5 lbs (he'll be eight months tomorrow). He out grew his infant seat about a month ago and I now have him in a rear-facing toddler car seat though he is really tall and I know I'll have to switch him to a forward facing car seat long before his first birthday. A couple of eight month tidbits: Charlie army crawls like a pro and is working on climbing the stairs from the family room to the kitchen. He loves to pull himself up using the toy basket or the ottoman for leverage but isn't very stable once he gets up (he usually doesn't make it to his feet just hangs out on his knees). He loves to play with the stuffed monkey that hangs on his crib, his Kindermusik rattle, and whatever George is playing with at the moment. No teeth yet.
