Happy Day

This morning I took George to Classic Skate & Water Slide and we had so much fun. Charlie stayed home with a babysitter so I was able to be fully present with George and we played and laughed and tried several new things. This place has a huge indoor bounce area with several slides and an outdoor kiddie pool and four big water slides. George liked the slides in the bounce area the best. I would carry him to the top and we would slide down together and then lay at the bottom and laugh (we did this for an hour and it was such a workout that I was dripping sweat by the end). George was beside himself he was having so much fun and his laugh is contagious so I caught the bug. After an hour in the bounce are we went outside to the pool. George got pretty brave in the kiddie pool so I took him down the water slides. They were pretty fast (I was honestly kind of scared) but we sat on a mat together and I just held on to him. Unfortunately, nearly every time we got to the bottom I slipped and went under (George had his life jacket on so he was fine) and that made him a little nervous but by our fourth run I got the hang of it and started to land on my feet. It was so fun to just be able to play with George and be apart of so many "firsts" with him. I seriously had so much fun and can't wait to go back.

Way fun. I can't wait to go back with you. I love it when you can just break away from real life and connect with your child. It is what being a mom is all about. Guess what we walked down Targhee today. It was fun for about an hour and a half. The last thirty minutes was killer. Daphne and Zane did awesome. They walked the 2.8 miles. Scarlet hated the last thirty minutes. :(

That is so sweet that you took George, and that it was just the two of you! Amy, you are a great Mom...and such a good example to me of how I want to be with my children. Thank you!

How fun for you to be able to really connect one on one with George. I'm sure he loved it as much as you did. I love being able to spend time with Madison, just the two of us.

I didn't think that water park was still open, how fun that sounds. You really are an awesome mom, even with your new "moto"

I can't wait until Bryn is old enough to do those things. I tried to think of a word to describe it besides fun, but what's better than a FUN one on one day with your kid?

Watching you and George laugh so hard together was one of the best parts of our day.
