Hogle Zoo

I have been dissing on the Hogle Zoo for years and even though I have only been there four times in my entire life I have expressed very strong opinions about the lack of natural habitat, abundance of concrete, long lines, and dirty bathrooms. However last night was a completely different experience. I am not sure if the zoo has changed or if I have changed or if the fact that it was a crisp night (perfect for pushing a double stroller up hills) and that the zoo was nearly deserted is what made the difference. George liked the big, big elephant the best and Charlie's favorite was the giraffe house. It was dinner time and the baby giraffe (born November 28th) was really hungry and fun to watch.

Your boys are so cute, you take the best pictures! I think the last time I went to the zoo was with Lindsay when we were both pregnant, I wasn't a fan of the hills at that time either but I'm glad you enjoyed your experience this time. Maybe I'll come with you next time.

I love our Zoo and I am glad that we are converting you. Great job on the pictures. You have such a natural talent for photography. I can't wait to go to the tulip festival and have you take pictures of my kids.
p.s. news flash, no one, I mean no one says, "dissing". That is so ten years ago. Who's your daddy?

Cute pics! Glad you got "converted" it is probably much cooler to haul a stroller around there!

There just really is no comparison to the Tautphas Park Zoo back home so anything else is going to be a total letdown:) Your pictures look great and dissing is still like totally rad....rock on!

I'm glad to know that Hogle Zoo has improved. I vowed to never go back when we saw the hippo that looked deathly diseased. I'm still laughing at laura's "p.s" and Sharese's comment. I guess I'm so ten years ago since I was right there with you on the "diss" jargon.

Sorry Am, but I am with Lara on dissing. It is so 10 years ago.

Your pictures are great. I can't wait to come play with your boys.

Zoos are just never my favorite. No matter which zoo I'm at, I feel like it's super dirty. But I do enjoy going because Madison loves it. I'm glad that you had a positive experience and a good time with your boys.

Aim I am laughing that you did not like the zoo. I love my zoo pass it is the best investment I make every year. That place is awesome on cloudy days or just days you don't know where to go.

Amy my siblings tease me about what I say and I have decided it is because they wish they could be as cool as I am so let them dis girlfriend.

Your zoo is way better than ours. You can do our zoo in about 45 mins. They are expanding our for the summer so hopefully it will get better. Hopefully, we can go with you guys this summer!

You're either way good at taking pictures or you have a way awesome camera. I love the shoes picture. And your boys are probably the cutest boys I've ever seen.

As long as you use the word "rad," I think you're exempt from any timeframe on your slang word usage. Because "rad" is just timeless. "Diss" maybe not so much...

I really like our zoo too. Amelia loves to go. We always like to get the kettle popcorn and ride the train around. I think we are due for a zoo trip. Oh, and as always your photos are terrific and your children are beautiful!

Amy, your pictures turned out awesome! I love them all!
I guess I better give Hogle Zoo a chance, too...it's really been years since I've gone. I'm glad you had a good time (and got to see the elephants this time around). ;)
