today in review...

This morning we met some friends at the zoo and navigated our way through the place along side twenty school groups. We were totally exhausted by the time we got home so we napped until 5:00pm. Then I had to think of something to do that would wear the kids out by bedtime. We ended up going to the pool (first time this year and I am crossing my fingers that there isn't another outbreak of that crazy poop disease) and had a great time. Charlie is a total nut in the water and walks around like he owns the place. He actually stole a corn dog from an eight year old kid and made him cry. George likes to pretend he is a great white shark. The boys rode bikes for a while once we got home and then Charlie collapsed in bed and George settled down to wait for his daddy and watch Monster's Inc.

Charlie thought he was pretty cool on George's scooter...

until George climbed on the back and Charlie's coolness completely vanished.

Charlie found a different bike and much to his relief was able to take off George's helmet (George insisted he wear it while he was on the scooter).

George reclaimed his scooter...

and proceeded to make shapes with his fingers. One of his favorite pastimes.

When do kids grow out of this fake smile thing? Will I miss it when it's gone?

Yes, you will miss it when the fake smile phase is gone! That sounds like a super tiring day. I can't believe you did the zoo and the pool in one day, you are brave!

I was going to ask the same thing about George's nails! That is a lot of activities in one day. I don't think I would make it!

The zoo was a lot of fun. Thanks for going with us. Amelia had a lot of fun hanging out with George. Cute bathing suit outfits! I am with you about the poop sickness. It was way gross last summer. I will sit in my own kiddie pool before I go through that again!

I am sad that we missed out on all the fun. :( Scarlet has some weird virus so I don't when we will be back in the fun game.

The zoo was totally great. We took a family nap too. I'm glad you didn't call us to go to the pool with you after because I just don't have as much energy as you. GO SUPER MOM!
